- How do I read the lot numbers?
Example: Lot no# B19701
B – Year the product was produced
A=2007 Z=2006 Y=2005
197- Julian Date (day of the year) that the day the product was produced (197 represents the July 15th).
The next two numbers are for internal use.
- What type of printer should I use?
All grades of accuArt are designed to use exclusively with aqueous (water based) ink jet printers. They are not designed for use with laser printers.
- What type of inks can I use?
AccuMark can only use Dye based ink. AccuBlack, AccuFast and AccuArt3 can use Dye or Pigment based inks.
- What printing resolution should I use?
Set your printer to the highest resolution. For most artwork, resolutions of 1440 X 720 dpi is recommended.

- What printer media setting should I use?
Set the printer media to photo glossy film or paper. You may have to try different settings until one is satisfactory for your application.
- What is the main difference between AccuBlack and AccuMark?
AccuMark is not water resistant and is easily destroyed with water and is tacky after printing. AccuBlack is water resistant and dry to the touch after printing.
- How do I know what side to print?
Lightly scratch the surface with your fingernail. The side that you feel more resistance is the emulsion side. In roll format, the emulsion side always faces out.
